Brian Miller, M.D., M.B.A., M.P.H. is a practicing hospitalist at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and a Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution. Dr. Miller runs a multi-disciplinary, twenty-person research group that analyzes market-driven solutions in FDA regulatory policy and Medicare payment policy. Trained and board-certified in preventive medicine and internal medicine, Dr. Miller has broad regulatory experience at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Miller serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the North Carolina State Health Plan, a $4.8 billion health plan covering over 750,000 members; a member of the Advisory Board for the Health Care Transformation Hub, and as an advisor to Rhema Health. Dr. Miller earned his medical degree from Northwestern University, a master of public health degree from Johns Hopkins University, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
